Data Deletion

Last updated: 3 August 2026

Users of the India Post Dashboard may request the deletion of their personal data at any time. This page explains the available options. Deletion requests are processed in line with the Privacy Policy.

What data is stored

The Application stores user profiles (name, email, role, department, office) and operational content (records, submissions, tasks, approvals, notifications, document attachments, and audit-log entries) in Google Sheets and Google Drive resources owned by the Organization. There is no separate user database outside these resources.

Option 1 — Delete data yourself (in the Application)

Depending on your role, you can delete some data directly:

Option 2 — Request deletion from the Organization

To request deletion of your account and any personal data associated with it, contact the Organization:

Please send the request from the email address registered for your account and state what data you would like removed. The Organization will verify the request and remove the requested data within a reasonable time.

Data used from your Google account

If you wish to revoke the Application's access to your Google account entirely, you can do so at any time through your Google account settings: Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access. Revoking access does not delete data already stored in the Organization's resources; that requires a deletion request as described above.

Retention before deletion

Requested deletions are processed promptly. Data may be retained temporarily in backups or where required by law or India Post record-keeping obligations. Operational and audit data may be deleted at any time by the Organization's administrators.
